The Key to Emotional Intelligence and Mental Well-Being

The Key to Emotional Intelligence and Mental Well-Being

Everyone is curious as to what emotions are and how do they exist at first, while emotional intelligence is one of the important factors of our mental well- among various intelligence such as physical, spiritual and many more.

Many might have seen the animated movie “Inside out”, and it was a great conceptualization of how emotions work in childhood. Emotions as we speak are the product of a present state the now, the moving seconds as we feel it now, added with our sense of perception judged by mind and most importantly what is felt in heart. There might be instances that you might feel anger, hatred and at times you might feels compassion, care and love. While we are feeling this, it might happen that our mental state magnifies the emotions we feel and it causes it to last for a little longer than we expect.

Like our mind seeing with a magnifying glass what’s happening in our heart. To observe our heart is the one which gives us humility and at time pain, and some self-content, which keeps us balanced at time, the humility to be simple, the pain to understand oneself and others and self-content to live a fulfilling life, what we choose and how we choose to feel it is upon us. Often we blame our heart, that its not listening to our calls, or rather its going in the wrong direction, but it can be that “ we need to listen to our heart on daily basis to understand what it is actually doing” and this is more like introspection of what we feel and how we feel it towards something.

As we speak of emotions, we need to listen to our emotions as to what they say while feeling them in us, is the key to a peaceful heart and clear mind.
